Reactive dyes are the most commonly used dyes for the dyeing of cotton fibers. They are combined with cotton fibers through covalent bonds and the fabrics have excellent dye fastness. Reactive dye fixing agents are classified into aliphatic quaternary ammonium salt derivatives, dicyandiamide and formaldehyde condensate (represented by fixing agent Y), polyamine condensates, and reactive cationic compounds from the chemical structure. According to environmental protection requirements, it is divided into two types of formaldehyde-containing and formaldehyde-free fixing agents. The structure, dyeing process, dyeing equipment, semi-finished product quality of undyed fabrics, and finishing processes directly affect the dye fastness of the fabric. Fabrics dyed with reactive dyes theoretically, the covalent bond formed by reactive dyes with fibers is quite strong, as if there is no problem of fastness to dyeing.
